Shy Moon Media offer a full DVD authoring service. What this means is that we can take your raw video footage and turn it into a DVD with menus and chapters making it easy to find specific sections. No more trauling though hours of video tape! We will then professionally label, replicate and package your DVD at our factory. We also offer Macrovision and CSS Encryption services. A barcode service is also available.

Menus
Menus are pages at the beginning or within the DVD that map out the content or sections of the content. Animated menus can be produced if necessary.

Chapter Points
Chapters points are like markers in the film that allow easy access to various points on the DVD.

Languages
Adding extra spoken languages to the DVD requires audio files of the additional languages. These files need to incorporate any background music. They also need to be the same length as the original language (unless new film footage for that particular language is supplied) and must be formatted as 48kHz 16 bit stereo.

Audio
We can convert your audio files from their current format to the necessary format but we cannot change the length of the file. We require the audio files in one of the following audio formats: CD Audio - WAV - MP3 - AC3. We will add an option to choose the relevant LANGUAGE from the opening menu.

Subtitling
We can translate your subtitles into most languages.
If you have subtitles already translated we accept the following formats:
.SUB .SRT .SSA .SON .SST

DVD's can be encoded with an option which specifies which regions in the world the discs can be played.
Here is a list of the major zones.
Zone 1 United States of America, Canada
Zone 2 Europe, including France, Greece, Turkey, Egypt, Arabia, Japan and South Africa
Zone 3 Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, Borneo and Indonesia
Zone 4 Australia and New Zealand, Mexico, the Caribbean, and South America
Zone 5 India, Africa, Russia and former USSR countries
Zone 6 Peoples Republic of China

Footage Formats We Can Accept:
VHS - Mini DV Tape - Betacam SP - Hi8 - Digi-Beta
DVD Video - DV - DVCPRO - DVCAM - SVHS and Umatic.

We can also accept MPEG1 - MPEG2 - AVI - MOV digital files.

Pricing is dependant on the format supplied.
The ideal formats (where encoding charges are waived) are:
